Phenibut.org is an independent information site about phenibut, written and maintained by the Phenibut.org Editorial Team.
What changed in 2026
This site has been online since 2013. For most of that time it described phenibut as a safe, legal supplement and linked to online sellers. That information was wrong or out of date. The FDA said in 2019 that phenibut can’t be sold as a dietary supplement, several states have since made it a controlled substance, and the medical evidence on dependence and withdrawal has grown.
In September 2026 we rewrote every page, removed all seller links and product recommendations, and took down the old dosing and buying guides.
How we write
- We rely on government agencies, court and legislative records, and peer-reviewed medical research, and we link our sources at the bottom of each page.
- Each page shows when it was last reviewed. We update the legal status page when laws change.
- We don’t sell anything, accept payment from sellers or use affiliate links.
Nothing here is medical or legal advice. See our medical disclaimer.
